Use the control-panel app that redhat provides (I know it was included in
RH5.1, I assume that it is still in there.)
You will need to be logged in as root and be in X to use it. Type
"control-panel" and you should see a window popup that has icons for
configuring things like modems, networks, printers, packages, etc. It
should be self explanitory from there.
