[PLUG] Remote copying - rcp

Folks,

	I have been trying to set up a mini-network using SuSE v6.3.

	1) I can ping between machines just fine.
	2) I can do remote login, execute all the stuff I want to
on the "other" machine.
	3 I can NOT do a remote copy between machines, ie

stanassc@stanassc:~/wp/eac > rcp EAC.lethead.ps stanassc@stan02:/home/stanassc/wp/eac
bash: .profile: command not found

The last line totally confuses me. 

	The problem is that every now and again I set the system up and the
"rcp" works. As an aside, remote printing doesn't seem to work either.
I have no idea what I am doing to let the system to work or not.

BTW these processes are running

  121 ?        S      0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.nfsd
  126 ?        S      0:00 /usr/sbin/rpc.pcnfsd /var/spool/lpd
  151 ?        S      0:00 /usr/sbin/inetd

I have set up the various /etc/hosts* /etc/export /etc/printcap files, 
but am not positve they are right.
