I like MySQL a lot. It's small, fast and by comparison to software
whales like Oracle, delightfully simple and lightweight. Ideal for
home use, IMO.
I use MySQL as the database backend for Digital DJ, an mp3
jukebox app. I had a working installation within an hour. The
hardest thing for me was setting up security to my satisfaction;
that took about a day. Other than that it just worked.
Quality software, IMO.
