RE: [PLUG] debian install two nic
|
i have mandrake on the net
i fdformat and mkfs a floppy on the mandrake machine
and cp the files to the floppy on the debian machine
and can cat the files on the debain machine but i cannot ls the files on the
mandrake
neither can i mount the floppy on the mandrake
anyway i ifconfig eth1 192.168.0.22 subnet 255.255.255.0 up
and ifconfig shows eth0 at 192.168.0.20 and eth1 at 192.168.0.22 and i can
ping each other on the debian machine but the other machines can only ping
192.168.0.20
i added eth1 after the install of debian
hope this helps or help me mount the floppy and i can email from
mandrake
thanks

Paste us the output of ifconfig. What happens when you do "ifconfig eth0
192.168.1.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 up" ? (feel free to replace the IP
address & netmask) What's the output of ifconfig after you do that ?
