I sync my Palm using jpilot via serial. Jpilot, of course, like most
unix software, doesn't care what device it's talking to.
Redhat 7 has the USB driver back-port patch in the 2.2.17 kernel. Or
you can recompile your 2.2.* kernel with the usb back-port patch. (See
http://www.google.com/linux.) Or use the 2.4 candidate kernel if you
like the bleeding edge. Or wait a couple months.
