Its not really the same. CVS isnt a push technology. You wind up with
multiple work areas, its kind of a hack for content management. If the
goal here is to allow multiple webmaster types to update content, cvs is
a clumsy sort of overkill. Something like WebDAV would be more
appropriate. Tomcat supports it. I believe there's a mod_dav for apache.
Its probably the more correct tool for the job.
Before everyone gets carried away, WebDAV is a standard. There's an RFC
and everything. Put the flame throwers away :) Ultimately its up to the
people tasked with doing the actual work anyhow, I was just making a
point.
