That was the missing piece :)
Mike you just earned a cookie/beer, I was banging my head agaist the wall for
3 days... I was able to get google to tell me more than I ever wanted to know
about handling pipes in bash, ksh, and tsch 8). Chances are missing the
read, probibly left out what I needed.
