i have also a sendmail server, i have a domain name
with proper MX records on my dsl connection BUT
I still use my isp's email address... my
reasoning is the isp's mail servers will have
more uptime than my own servers. even if dsl
is down 10 minutes a week its not exactly 100% up.
I do have secondary email addresses to my
hosts though, and theyre fine (no limitations,
my own control, setup as many addresses
on my domain as i want, etc).
