So it looks like Moz 1.7 is a worthwhile update. But...
...has anyone else noticed that Mozilla's performance degrades the longer the
app remains loaded in memory? Is there something wrong with my config, or a
common problem?

My problem, and my concurrence with John Karr, is that Mozilla/w32 is faster
than Mozilla/Linux. We try not to use IE (unless the site requires us to)
and with Mozilla/w32 we haven't had a need for Opera (Besides its nice having
the same browser/mua on both the w32 and Linux machines.)
