[PLUG] thanks for the Knoppix 3.6 disk

Thanks to the gentlemen who gave me the Knoppix 3.6 disk.
The Knoppix 3.6  recognized my ide board. 
The Iomega 750 zip driver still would not mount properly.
   I tried the Knoppix 3.6 on another machine, but a new chaintech Ge force
   mx4000 was  not recognized.
     I would love to know what the Knoppix system is doing to recognize the 
     ide board.
