While I certainly don't blame anybody for doing what
their employer tells them to do, I do think it's a
good idea to mention to that employer that what
they're asking constitutes spamming and probably won't
be a very effective marketing tool.

I expect I'll be blindly emptying whatever they send
out of my bulk mail folder, without reading it, in the
future (yes, a very large number of companies, as well
as porn purveyors and assorted scammers, appear to be
under the impression that I requested commercial
solicitation via e-mail from them).
