yeah that site has been down for a while. The below site should help.

As far as the no-gui thing is concerned, the cleanest way to do it in
Gentoo is to use the Server sub-profile. That way, all the X/Gnome/KDE
related use flags are disabled by default, and it "Just Works" for you.
