I had a '63 Fairlane station wagon with the three on the column. The
linkages wore out and I had to replace it with a Hirst floor shift.
The result was a back ward H as the connections on the transmission
were a mirror image what would be the floor shift connections.
Also had a Saab 97 V-4. Could race 'vettes on the curve but not the
straight.
