[PLUG] device mapper multipath question

I recently downloaded and read up/tested this multipath solution.A few
reboots and lun's later - i find myself baffled why linux creates a
mpath3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc... value for new lun's when there are no luns
in mpath0, 1 or 2. Of course, I have been testing this,
adding/removing luns and once had mpath0 and 1. But they are long
gone.

I also tried doing a multipath -F to flush stuff out, but no luck.
What am I missing?
