My though for restarting those 3 was that they are related to power
management, but I admit it was mostly a guess. Note the ACPI stuff in
the log below though.

That is set to blank the screen at 10 mins, and it's definitely taking
longer than that to go to sleep. I changed it to 11 mins, closed the
dialog, then re-set it to 10 mins to see if that helps. Too soon to
tell yet.

Isn't it amazing how we lose our minds when it's our own stuff? That'd
be the first or second thing I told anyone else, but of course I never
thought of it.
Looks like my WLAN card and/or NetworkMangler:
$ grep -i sleep syslog
Jun 21 13:27:08 mini9 NetworkManager: <info> Sleeping...
Jun 21 13:27:08 mini9 kernel: [728975.303605] iwlagn: MAC is in deep sleep!
Jun 21 14:15:34 mini9 kernel: [728976.815054] PM: Preparing system for
mem sleep
Jun 21 14:15:34 mini9 kernel: [728976.819185] PM: Entering mem sleep
Jun 21 14:15:34 mini9 kernel: [728977.512535] ACPI: Preparing to enter
system sleep state S3
Jun 21 14:15:34 mini9 kernel: [728978.213046] ACPI: Waking up from
system sleep state S3
Jun 21 15:33:18 mini9 NetworkManager: <info> Sleeping...
Jun 21 15:33:18 mini9 kernel: [733643.113973] iwlagn: MAC is in deep sleep!
Jun 22 15:00:26 mini9 kernel: [733644.588270] PM: Preparing system for
mem sleep
Jun 22 15:00:26 mini9 kernel: [733644.593146] PM: Entering mem sleep
Jun 22 15:00:26 mini9 kernel: [733645.292537] ACPI: Preparing to enter
system sleep state S3
Jun 22 15:00:26 mini9 kernel: [733646.101040] ACPI: Waking up from
system sleep state S3
Of course there is lots more stuff in the logs, but none it it is really
jumping out at me. I'll have to keep an eye on when I wake it up next
time, and go from there.
Thanks for the smack in the head,
JP

"Microsoft Tax" = the additional hardware & yearly fees for the add-on
software required to protect Windows from its own poorly designed and
implemented self, while the overhead incidentally flattens Moore's Law.
