[PLUG] Ubuntu 9.04 usb problems after install
|
Anyone else having problems with USB on Ubuntu 9.04
Ubuntu 9.04 desktop installed OK, and USB even recognized the HP USB
printer.
Ubuntu automatically pulled down the latest HPLIP drivers and printed
a test page on the printer.
After that I installed the rest of the OS patches, and printing therefter
failed. It seems USB is having probles, as there are lots of error
messages
on boot.

Doing a 'lsusb' causes more error messages , finally timing out after
about 2 min.
So I'm guessing USB is broken by a patch. I reverted the kernel upgrade
that was installed
and that didn't help.
