Job Description

   GreenLink Networks is an exciting Philadelphia area digital media
   company.  We're looking for a bright and motivated Linux Systems
   Administrator to oversee our server and systems infrastructure. The right
   candidate should be a team player that can maintain a stable, cloud based
   IT footprint and support the company's rapid growth. You will be
   challenged in a dynamic and fast paced environment working alongside a
   passionate, entrepreneurial team.



   Responsibilities

     o Configuration of firewalls, load balancers and other production
       equipment
     o Scripting, automation and troubleshooting of processes and systems
     o Design, configure and report on server and systems monitoring,
       backups, and utilization
     o Perform daily system monitoring for load, availability, and capacity
     o Familiarity with an infrastructure monitoring suite such as Hyperic HQ
     o Perform regular security monitoring
     o Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures in a speedy manner
     o Plan new build-outs and initiatives
     o Maintain and support existing applications
     o Perform regular performance tuning
     o Develop automated approaches for system administration tasks
     o Apply upgrades and patches to software, storage and processor capacity
       as necessary
     o Support corporate IT deployment of a Windows based infrastructure
       (Exchange Server, Terminal Server, etc.)



   Requirements

     o BS in Computer Science or related field
     o 5+ years experience in a production 24/7 high traffic web environment
       based on Open Source technologies
     o Linux expert with strong debugging skills
     o Experience administering Amazon's EC2 and S3 based infrastructure
       deployments
     o Familiarity with Tomcat, JBoss, Postgres administration
     o Strong understanding of best practices for software engineering,
       secure systems design and scalable fault tolerant web architectures
     o Ability to program in one or more scripting languages - Bash, Perl
       and/or Python preferred
     o Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
     o Ability to work both independently and within a team
     o Comfortable in a startup environment with flexible work schedules and
       24/7 availability
