The Philadelphia Area Linux Users Group (PLUG) cordially invites
you to a PLUG West meeting on Monday, Oct 17 at FIS in
Malvern, PA from 7-9 pm. See below for directions to the meeting
location.
This month, PLUG West welcomes back Lee Marzke, who will be
giving a presentation on ZFS and Open Storage. Lee has previously
given a version of this talk at PLUG Central.
Sun started the Open Storage market with the release of ZFS on
Solaris. The new owner of Sun's IP (Oracle) defines Open Storage
as:
As a general term, open storage refers to storage systems built
with an open +architecture using industry-standard hardware and
open-source software.
