Hi All,
may I suggest that you attempt to do the following:
What UEFI chip is on your system. I have a 8 year old laptop that would not
dual boot because the UEFI chip insisted on booting M$. I did a work around by
putting refind on a flash drive.
Attempt to shrink the main widows partition
Attempt to load Ubuntu or distribution of your choice on the free space
created.
I hope that this works for you.
