Re: [PLUG] curved monitors

I have a 43 inch ultrawide curved monitor. This replaced 2 x 27 inch 4k monitors I was using side by side. The only thing I don't like about it, is that I should've spent a few more dollars and went with a higher resolution. It's 3840x1200@120hz and I would trade a drop in refresh rate to have 1440p. There was a bit of a learning curve (pun intended) when I first got it because it is ridiculously wide. Not having a physical break splitting two monitors took a little bit to get used too. For instance, I almost never full screen any window. It looks weird surfing the web that wide and it is way too much empty space. If you workflow is full screened windows (like Outlook/Thunderbird) on one screen and coding on another, you may have to adapt a bit. However, there are some monitors and software that allows for easier window management, give that a look too before purchasing.

Bit of a ramble there, but TL;DR I love mine. On the rare chance I do get some time to game, having that wide view is a ton of fun.

I need a new monitor and was curious about the curved ones.
Is there any serious gain? For the ADD folks?

Thanks.
