| Re: [PLUG] New York City BSD User Group: OpenZFS (probably) talk by MWL |
On 2026-03-21 15:50:30, JP Vossen via plug <plug@lists.phillylinux.org> spake thus:
MWL is Michael W Lucas, who wrote the awesome _Absolute FreeBSD_ and *many* other tech and BSD books, as well as a ton of fiction (e.g., _Git commit murder_).
Indeed. I have his "Tarsnap Mastery" book here at my elbow as I type this, and several other of his books within eyesight. Always informative, and always entertaining, too.
Per https://mwl.io/archives/24606 (& https://www.nycbug.org/) he's probably giving an OpenZFS talk on 2026-04-01 Wed 18:45 EDT or 22:45 UTC for the New York City BSD User Group, and it will be streamed.
Thanks for the heads-up about that. I've not used ZFS in anger, but have started looking at it. So this talk will be quite timely for me.
I say "probably" because it's April First, and because it's MWL, so...you never quite know.
[...] LLTM[0]; fingers crossed that it comes to pass!
