[PLUG] Stephen Bourne speaking at NYC*BUG tonight

Hi everyone,

Tonight Stephen Bourne will be speaking at the New York City *BSD User
Group at 7:30 PM. If you happened to see this announcement earlier,
note that they've moved the meeting back from their usual time of 6:45
to 7:30.

Bourne worked for Bell Labs in the early days of Unix and designed the
first shell, sh. He has gone on to have a long and distinguished
career working in senior management positions at computer systems and
networking companies.

You can see the full meeting announcement at https://www.nycbug.org/.
I'm planning to be there in person since I'm back up in NYC today and
it's an easy trip downtown on the subway for me. It's short notice so
if you can't make it, they should be posting a link to stream it on
that same page tonight. Note that if you want to ask questions you'll
need to follow the instructions at the top to join an IRC channel.

Also, if you want a glimpse back in time to when they were making the
initial design decisions on how the shell would work, there was a
fascinating post to their mailing list last night.
