Re: Rich Hickey coming to Philly

Obviously I'm biased but...

I've gone every year for the past three years and it's a great conference!  Tickets tend to sell out fairly quickly, almost all of them are gone by the end of the early bird period.

So if you're interested in going, you might want to get on it soonish.

Thanks!

Hi All,

As many of you already know, Emerging Technology for the Enterprise
conference is right around the corner.  It is a very good conference
(and local) that I would encourage people to check out.  Early bird
price is until 2/15.

I just want to point out a few talks that are relevant for this group
(in no particular order).

* Rich Hickey - Keynote
* Stuart Sierra - Clojure/ClojureScript: One Language to Rule the Web
* Philipp Haller - Scala Async: A New Way to Simplify Asynchronous Code
* Joshua Suereth - Scaling out with Akka Actors
* Michael Bevilacqua-Linn - Patterns and Functional Programming
* Dustin Getz/Jason Feingold - Livecoding a Webapp in Clojure and
Scala: An intro and comparison
* Jamie Allen / Cliff Click / Charlie Hunt / Doug Lea / Michael
Pilquist- Future of the JVM

Some might have noticed that there are a few Philly Lambda members
(listed above) also giving a talk.  Grab a ticket to support Philly
Lambda and Philly :)
