[PhillyOnRails] Credit Card Number Storage Best Practices/Requirements

Good day all,

First, thank you Aaron and Erin for great presentations last night, to
Site5 for sponsoring, and to everyone for sharing information and posing
interesting questions.

There was cursory discussion of credit card information handling at the
end of the Erin's presentation.

Could the commenting parties elaborate a bit, and provide links to any
resources that have been of use in the past, in determining proper
handling of the collection and storage of credit card information?

Someone seated near Mike mentioned that it violates Visa's rules to
store CVV's, and other's mentioned that they knew of useful white papers.

I'm interested in information pertinent to online collection/offline
processing, as well as online processing/post-auth storage for future use.

Thanks!
