Since nobody else seems to be starting a local _javascript_ UG, and I would love to have a group to talk to about JS issues, I've gone ahead and started a mailing list:

Please join if you're interested in discussing _javascript_ topics (troubleshooting, using popular libraries, using js-based rich client frameworks, how to document _javascript_ code, etc.).  I'm spending almost 8 hours a day writing _javascript_ these days, so I've got lots to talk about. :)
