Combined Conditional Access Development
(CCAD), is a unique environment for Scrum. It is joint
venture between Comcast, the largest cable operator in the
United
States, and Motorola, a global supplier of
cable equipment and mobile equipment and services.
CCAD is working on,
among other things, next-generation CA systems and multi-stream Cable CARDs
based on Motorola's MediaCipher CA technology.
This
talk is about CCAD's struggles with co-development and how Scrum helped. Mike
Buckley will also talk about how Scrum helped internally and how they are
addressing Motorola process
requirements.
Mike Buckley is Director Software Engineering Responsible for Software
infrastructure (best practices, procedures, tools, etc.), configuration
management, lab and IT. He has been working at CCAD since its inception (April
2005.)
