Mark,

I said that because the web page is how I found the list and what persuaded
me to join.

I now understand the purpose of the list:  a club who's members share a
common interest, intended to promote that common interest through
fellowship.  I *like* that purpose.  I am in another organization that is
based on the exact same idea -- the US Coast Guard Auxiliary - civilian
volunteers who promote safe recreational boating practices through education
of the boating public.  This is done through having fun.

My point is don't downplay the list's social purposes it's own website.  It
confuses us simpletons.

This is my last post to the list on this subject (you're all welcome :-)
