What OS is this on?  I've built Inline several times under various
Linux distributions (Mandrake, Redhat) with no issues...

You can always use h2xs instead (you've probably got a higher chance of
success with it)...and even though I kind of know it and don't feel I'ts 
all _that_ bad, I wouldn't wish it on my enemys.
