xml -> html conversion in apache 2 and mod_perl

I have a bunch of xml files that I need Apache 2 to serve. Can
anyone recommend a package/tool that would do the xml -> html
conversion on the fly from a perl script? I was looking at the
AxKit, but according to it's FAQ it's not yet ported to Apache 2.
Any ideas/suggestions?
