-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hey guys, I know the question which follows may not be the most suitable for a first post, but I'll take my chances. Since I'm not a big python fan (let's just say I prefer perl ;) ), I'm writing a program that I want to interface with a python library (portage) in perl. I looked on cpan and found Python::Object, which (seems like) it will allow me to do this. However, I did not manage to get it installed (cpan shell/manually). Has/Can anybody tried/try to install/use it? Just for reference, here are the last lines: In file included from Object.xs:10: ../lang_lock.h:67: error: syntax error before "last_py_tstate" ../lang_lock.h:67: warning: data definition has no type or storage class make: *** [Object.o] Error 1 Someone on google said it's an ithread problem, but it doesn't seem that way, and I'd prefer not to recompile (especially since the ithread flag on gentoo is marked "has some compatibility problems") perl just for this. Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way, and you (much more experienced) people can provide a better solution. Thanks in advance for your help, - -Cos - -- GPG key fingerprint = DE9F 4664 E666 2BD1 903E 4F4D EA31 5FB1 C7F9 08C1 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFCzwNj6jFfscf5CMERAlKzAKDioV4HQXnN5ypCz77PQt3vEdLi0ACgzt7j MhQRu4pzfKKmQR8HW4zZAFE= =+Wgy -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- - **Majordomo list services provided by PANIX <URL:http://www.panix.com>** **To Unsubscribe, send "unsubscribe phl" to majordomo@lists.pm.org**
