Hi Kurt,
Your problem has intrigued me. So I started doing some reading and
found that in the /usr/doc/lilo/ is a tex file for technical overview.
In here it discribes /boot/map file. This is the file that is read with
the command lilo -q -v -v. This file also contains the exact locations
on the hard drive for the various files to execute. But trying to
figure out real machine code will take too much time.
