It looks to me like the info is available, but I don't know how to get it... read on. My output of lilo -q -v -v contains the following: Images: linux * <dev=0x80,hd=51,cyl=18,sct=84> No password Boot command-line won't be locked VGA mode is taken from boot image Kernel is loaded "low" No initial RAM disk No fallback Options: "ro root=303" So, it looks to me like the kernel is located at dev=0x80,hd=51,cyl=18,sct=84. Now all we have to do is find that..... Any ideas? Andy : :Hi, : : I'm trying to figure out (remotely) what's been written to the boot :block of a computer by LILO. I think that /etc/lilo.conf is out of sync :with what's actually written to the boot block, and I want to find out :what's actually written. : : `lilo -q -v -v' tells me most of what I want to know, but it doesn't :give the pathnames of the kernels. Is this information available :somewhere? : : Peace, :* Kurt Starsinic (kstar@isinet.com) ------------------ Technical :Specialist * :| "The unexpected always happens." - :Plautus | :Institute for Scientific Information :http://www.isinet.com/ : : -- -------------------------------------------------------------------- If I'm having fun, sympathize 'cause it's easy to get bored.
