Don't forget the Corel NetWinders. They look nice -- 275MHz StrongARM processor, 16/32/64MB configs, two (2) Ethernet ports (10BT & 10/100BT), parallel & serial, built-in audio (16-bit stereo in/out) and video. Whoops, those are specs for the LC model, which isn't out yet (AFAIK). The DM model has all the same stuff, except no 16MB config and adds an IrDA port and two PS/2 ports for keyboard/mouse. I'll probably pick one up myself. And they're under US$1K with a 2G drive. Check 'em out at: http://www.corelcomputer.com/products/linux/netwinder_dm.htm Cheers! -- Tracy Nelson -----Original Message----- From: Rebecca Ore <rebecca.ore@op.net> To: PLUG@lists.nothinbut.net <PLUG@lists.nothinbut.net> Date: Thursday,January 07,1999 17:06 Subject: Does anyone know anything about Wheat Computers |I'm thinking about getting a new box that's virgin as far as MS is |concerned and was looking at the kde site (in regard to other things, |like why is Intel putting money into RedHat) and notice that they were |about the closest place that shipped a fully rigged Linux box. -- To unsubscribe, send a message with the word 'unsubscribe' in the subject or body of your message to plug-request@lists.nothinbut.net
