2.2 kernel update

Hi all,

Since I gave a preliminary endorsement of the 2.2 kernel earlier this
week,
I thought you might like to hear the update:

As I said before, I got the Debian 2.2 kernel package and installed it as
an
alternate kernel. It boots fine and runs well. It's not 100% compatible with
2.0
startup scripts, though. In particuar, some details of the TCP stack have
changed.
You may not see any problems, but you might have to make small changes to your
network startup scripts. In my case, running as a DHCP client, I had to
change
the syntax of my Ethernet card and routing configuration commands.

Otherwise, it's Just a Good Thing.

    Peace,
