SAP has announced that they will release their Enterprise Resource Planning system on Linux! This is a major accomplishment for Linux, since SAP is typically installed only in large, major corporations that can afford the millions of dollars it can cost to implement. It's a behemoth system, requiring several Gig of disk space just for the software (several more Gig for the data), and makes some hefty demands on the operating system. Check out http://www.infoworld.com/cgi-bin/displayStorypl?99031.eesaplinux.htm for details.
