lpd

Any idea why lpd takes 50% of my cpu cycles when printing a document.
I'm printing a 48 page document on a HP500 printer (about 0.02 cps), and I
notice a significant system slow down. I run top and it shows lpd taking
up 50% of my cycles. Anyone know why?

I'm running RH5.2, with updates, on a PII-450 256M.
