I second the motion.
When I was first trying to set-up my connection scripts, I read the HOWTOs for PPP,
ISP Hookup, etc., I asked for help on the usenet and hunted through websites, read
man pages..........I finally tried control-panel and it worked the first time. ps
then revealed that pppd was using some command line params that I had never seen in
any of that earlier documentation.
