I have only seen two options. From: Paul Scaer <scaerp@wanda.pond.com> location: Free Library at Logan Circle capacity: "accommodating perhaps 25 people" 25 people ? The estimate I saw was about 30 per week. And we need a lot of room to grow (I know I'm not the only one who can feel it) From: Avi Freedman location: Netaxs capacity: seats 100 * wired for ethernet/fibre/t3 * soda/chips/projector * "at least four pizza places and a Chinese place that would deliver" * it's netaxs, that would rock And the biggest point of all -- I haven't heard of any other options. I've heard several "we might be able to meet at this place". To be reasonable, I suggest we plan on having the August 4th meeting at Netaxs. In the meantime, if you don't want to meet at Netaxs, go find some solid possibilities. If you think there's a place that might take us, *ask*, and find out the capacity. And about voting -- I'm all for voting, wonderfully democratic, but how the hell can you have a vote on something as vague as what general area people would like to meet in ? Get some tangable meeting places, real proposals, *then* vote. __________________________________________________________________ PGP fingerprint = 03 5B 9B A0 16 33 91 2F A5 77 BC EE 43 71 98 D4 darxus@op.net / http://www.op.net/~darxus Far Beyond Reason _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
