I just checked the Red Hat HCL, and I don't see an AVA-2825 listed. It could be that the AVA-2825 isn't supported by Linux. This could also be why you're getting the abnormal shutdown when you say that you don't have any SCSI devices. Do you have the option of getting either an IDE controller or a different SCSI controller? Michael W.
