I never heard of "ext2resize". Tell me/us more. TX shux@subculture.org on 08/04/99 03:11:57 PM Please respond to plug@lists.nothinbut.net To: plug@lists.nothinbut.net cc: (bcc: Thomas A Burba/USVISION) Subject: [Plug] resizing an extended partition I thought I'd at least ask before completely reformatting. Is there any way to resize an entire extended partition. I know ext2resize can resize ext2 partitions. Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/hdb1 * 1 260 2088418+ 6 FAT16 /dev/hdb3 521 784 2120580 5 Extended /dev/hdb5 521 773 2032191 83 Linux /dev/hdb6 774 784 88326 82 Linux swap I want to have the extended partition go from 261 to 784, and then move and resize the ext2 partition (hdb5) to 261 to 773. I doubt this can be done, but if you know, that's great. _______________________________________________ Xtian Betz - shux@subculture.org - AIM: Shux LOS _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
