No. Raw mode in Linux is invoked using the -b switch for "binary" mode. Why not just check out what the Printing-HOWTO has to say? You dont usually cat large binary files to the printer anyways.... or do you? I dunno. I dont. I use some other program to talk to the printer... J. When I grow up, I wanna be more like me. I had a clue. I didn't like it. I took it back and exchanged it for an attitude.
