Re: [Plug] Linux/W95 LAN


I had changed the address as per somebody's suggestion. That's why that little descrepency exists. I was thinking actually it might have something to do w/ the gateway being only for my ppp address or maybe because my local subnet is only 255.0.0.0 and the subnet for my eth0 interface is 255.255.255.0

This confuses me.
192.168.0.0     0.0.0.0         255.255.255.0   U      1500 0          0
Yet you seem to be using 192.168.1.255 as your network. Maybe I'm
missing something, but I think you need to add a route for the right
network.... try this:
route add -net 192.168.1.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 dev eth0

Then retry the connection.
