[Plug] gtk-config problem 

I'm trying to compile a program that uses gtk+, and have found that
gtk-config reports a lower version than the actual installed library.
(gtk-config says 1.2.3, it's really 1.2.4).  The program doesn't like
this.

I'm running Debian potato.
