[Plug] (no subject)

Anybody know what the following start-up services are, are used for, and 
what requires them:
network
gated
rusersd rwalld rwhod
amd autofs
local

I know amd and autofs are for automount, but I'm not exactly sure what 
automount is for. I know gated is the gateway daemon, but I don't quite know 
what I'd need that for either. And last, I know basically what rwalld and 
rwhod as well as rusersd do, but I'm not quite sure under what conditions 
they function and what services require them. I have no idea what network 
and local do.

I might've already sent this (I don't think so), but I don't quite remmber. 
I'm pretty tired, but on the bright side, my car now has a radio.
