For me it is much better than a dial up. I get downloads in the 20s (k per sec). If you call tech support plan to be on the line for 40 minutes, but level 2 support is very resposive. In my opinion it is a no brainer at $40 a month. I don't notice any slowdowns... when it was first installed I had very high latency --- 700 to 1000 ms to everything during primetime. I called tech service and they fixed it within 24 hours. Now i hardley ever see a latency over 130 and often I see pings from 40 -80 millliseconds. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Romano <mromano@verticalnet.com> To: geeks@vertical.net <geeks@vertical.net>; Personal - Perl-Geeks <perl-geeks@neverlight.com>; plug@lists.nothinbut.net <plug@lists.nothinbut.net> Date: Tuesday, September 07, 1999 6:14 PM Subject: [Plug] @Home >First off: sorry for the cross-posting -- I know that a good number of >people are on all three of the above lists.
