I wanted to thank Val for your help with my problem. But i had ghostview and gs and the other program that you use installed. anyways, I trashed my slackware 4.0 install and downloaded the base debian install(the 7 *.bin files with the bootup disks). I have that installed now in place of slackware, but with a winmodem and running netzero (free isp for win9x only), i can't connect to the internet under linux to be able to get all of the packages that i need to be able to run debian. i guess what i am asking is does anyone have a debian cd (newest version) that i may either borrow or have so that i can set up my computer again with (debian) linux. Thanks :) Richard -- ===================================================================== A wise man once said: There are two things you lose in life: The second is your memory.... ===================================================================== I'm sorry, I can't remember the first :P __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
