As I said, it would check the body if the headers were identical. I'd think it could last a week or so.
I don't know how effective it would be, it was just an idea I had.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.  The suggestion was made of
filtering out (at the list manager level) any messages that have a
duplicate, non-RE: subject line.  I pointed out that this wasn't viable
because some mailers don't always add the "RE:"; this would result in
responses being filtered out.

Also, as I think on it further, this is also a bad idea for other reasons.
What if a message is further information?  How long should the ban last
for?  And so on.
