Here's the situation: I don't use XFree often as most of my work is done through a remote ssh session. However everyonce and a while I load the gui up to accomplish something. Even rarer I forget to logout once I'm finished. Now I have a KVM switch so I'm not really paying attention to the local console. But a day later when I switch back the screensaver has kicked in and sometimes it's just frozen. The keyboard lites don't respond or anything. However I can still login remotely and do whatever I want. Still the only solution I have come up with to regain local console access is to reboot the machine from a remote session. There HAS TO BE a better way. Anyone want to enlighten me? :) In case it helps I'm running a pretty standard RH 6.0 installation with roughly all the latest rpm updates. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as it stands now I have 20 days uptime and would have had at least 60 if it weren't for this matter. Not that the uptime really matters, but it irks me still.
