RE: [Plug] Star Office


I like the way StarOffice works also.  I have been using it for almost a
year now, on both Windows and Linux, and the only thing that irratates me is
the fact that it takes over the desktop.  I would rather use Applix, but
StarOffice is an excellent choice.

well, I've been using StarOffice for a few weeks now (unfortunately, on
windoze since work doesn't let me have a linux workstation yet :(  Anyway, I
think it is pretty good - I was especially wowed when it ran a PowerPoint97
presentation without hesitation.

At any rate, anything that shows an enterprise quality non-microsoft
alternative is definitely a good thing.  Distributing the linux version is
even better.
