Okay, So, there are two upcoming Linux IPOs: Andover.net and VA Linux Systems. Andover.net should be easier than the average IPO to get into.. it is being done via the OpenIPO system... check www.OpenIPO.com if you are interested. You only need $2000 to open an account with WRHambrecht & Co. VA Linux Systems is apparently a lot harder to get into. It is a traditional IPO and the Underwriters are: Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank AG London, Hambrecht & Quist, Lehman Brothers Each of these underwriters apparently only allow accounts with high-net-worth clients, and you have to at very least open up an account with a significant amount, to get their attention, if you can open up an account with them. I'm wondering if anybody knows of any brokers or institutions getting secondary distributions of VA Linux Systems... Or for that matter, did anybody here get the VA Linux Systems 'letter' who can't or won't be using it? Yeah yeah, I know... well... it doesn't hurt to ask. <grin> Of course, email me privately if you did.. ;) _______________________________________________ Plug maillist - Plug@lists.nothinbut.net http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
